Congratulations Kari Galen for being named to the Mid-American Conference Academic All-MAC Team! Kari led the team with .78 blocks-per-set in 29 matches this fall and carries a cumulative GPA of 3.77. Awesome job Kari!
The team is on spring break and we are not. :( It seems I have neglected our blog a little bit. With the team on spring break, I figure this would be a great time to catch you up on some of the recent happenings around BGSU.
On Saturday we had the official "closing of the doors of the house that roars!" The last regular season basketball game (in which BG crushed Buffalo) took place on Saturday. Below former NBA and BGSU great Nate Thurmond (the tall man with his back to the camera) waits to enter the Anderson Arena to talk with the fans after the game.
There was a great crowd and a big party later that evening in Anderson. There were a lot of great stories about people, big matches, big games, and concerts. I found out yesterday that the Black Eyed Peas played in Anderson and that in 1963 the BGSU Men's Basketball team beat Loyola (92-75) who was ranked #2 in nation at the time. In fact, Loyola won the National Title that year. So much history in this building. It was a good time reminiscing about the great times in Anderson.
Check back later this week for more updates! ROLL ALONG!
Old School can be defined as a class of people favoring traditional ideas...from an earlier era and looked upon with high regard or respect.
Bowling Green Volleyball has a strong winning tradition on the court and in the classroom. We believe hard work, dedication, sacrifice, and a positive competitive attitude are what make dreams come true.
Respect and value for each other and for those who have laid the foundation
before us.
- Program 1st
- Team 2nd

We consider ourselves 'Old School'!
