MEET LIBBY DACHENHAUS!

Move in for BGSU students starts today. The team is helping students move into the resident halls right now. I thought this would be an appropriate time to have the rest of our incoming freshmen start to introduce themselves. We will go numerically starting with Libby...

Hi! My name is Libby Dachenhaus and I'm a freshman defensive specialist. I am from Toledo, Ohio and live just a few blocks away from my teammate Noelle! I'll be wearing the #1 jersey this season and am an Applied Health Science major with plans to attend grad school and become a Physician's Assistant. I went to an all girl's catholic high school so food, movies, boys, and music were always the topics of discussion. I just love food in general. I usually snack on fresh fruit and goldfish and I absolutely love Mexican and Italian, so you may see me around at El Zarape :) One of my all time favorite movies to quote is Mean Girls but I also enjoy watching Finding Nemo, Pirates of the Caribbean, Baby Mama, and Remember the Titans. I'm also down for a scary movie every once in a while. I'm not very picky when it comes to music because my mood usually influences what I listen to. My i-pod is currently home to a lot of Dave Matthews, The Fray, Aerosmith, Missy Higgins, Eminem, and Kid Cudi. I'm not much of a country fan, but I'm sure Herzberg will try to change that.

I also like to travel. I've spent the past two spring breaks playing volleyball in Europe with my club team. I've played in Italy where we visited Venice and Rome (the pizza there is truly amazing) and have visited Paris, Amsterdam, and a few smaller cities in Germany and Belgium. I loved the relaxed European lifestyle and gorged myself on all of the delicious food. I would go back in a heartbeat! In the summer, I enjoy getting some sun by the pool and spending time with family and friends. There is nothing better than a summer cook-out with people you care about. One of my favorite quotes to think about when I'm down is from "The Remedy" by Jason Mraz: "you can turn off the sun but I'm still gonna shine"

Go Falcons!
